WEDDING STATIONERY DESIGN
- CUSTOM DESIGN
- I can design your complete letterpress wedding invitation package whether you are a local or long distance customer. There are several steps I’ve taken to make at-a-distance design very efficient: I can supply you with ink swatch books that contain over 1,100 colors and paper samples from different mills to help you through the design process.
- If you’d like to supply your own designs, or work with your own designer, that would be perfectly acceptable. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many talented brides and designers to bring their visions to light. I’d be happy to assist in any way I can to ensure the entire process goes smoothly.
- PAPERS AND ENVELOPES
- Crane & Co.’s Lettra (made in USA)- my house paper, is available in three shades of white: Fluorescent, Pearl, and Ecru. A variety of matching envelopes are also available with this line of 100% cotton rag paper that was specifically designed for modern letterpress printing.
- Cartiera Magnani’s Arturo (made in Italy)- this line of paper is available in several colors and has a soft 4-sided faux-deckle edge along with a nice line of matching envelopes.
- Porridge Paper Mill (hand-made in USA)- Porridge Papers are hand-made at a small mill in Nebraska. They make a great variety of papers in many colors and specialty finishes with either natural deckle or straight-cut edges.
- There are many more paper mills out there but these are the three that I’ve worked with the most and I feel they all work very well with the letterpress printing process. I’d be happy to advise you if you have a particular paper stock in mind and are wondering about its performance on the printing press.
- INK COLORS
- We can work together to create the color palette for your letterpress wedding invitations. I can supply you with a swatch book that has over 1,100 colors, or you can send samples of your wedding colors that you’d like me to match.
- TYPEFACES
- The cornerstone of your letterpress wedding invitation is the typeface that your words are set in. There are many choices available and I’ll be there to help you select the most appropriate typeface to fit the mood of your wedding ceremony.
- ARTWORK
- We can work together to create custom artwork for your letterpress wedding invitation or you may supply your own artwork; you can even work with your own designer if you’d like.
